A new Buddha statue was put up at the Center, seated in earth witness pose, and located in an open meditation area under some trees. A small ceremony was held and attended by close to 80 local people. After the prayers and the Prasadam, traditional singing celebrated the festival of Holi. This was followed by lunch for everyone.
The Buddha now has a place where people can sit comfortably and meditate. The local priest did 1000 names of Vishnu prayer since the villagers consider Buddha as one of the incarnations of Vishnu.
